Sanctuary Choir; Dr. Michelle Louer, conductor (1862-1924)
O praise God in his holiness, Praise him upon the well-tuned cymbals,
Praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him upon the loud cymbals.
Praise him in his noble acts, Let everything that hath breath
Praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise the Lord.
Praise him in the sound of the trumpet, Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
Praise him upon the lute and harp. And to the Holy Ghost;
Praise him in the cymbals and dances, As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
Praise him upon the strings and pipe. World without end. Amen.

One: God of surprising grace, we come to you with gratitude in our hearts.
All: It is easy to be grateful, for you have given us love and life, beauty and meaning.
You have claimed us as your own.
One: On this day and every day, we will give thanks to you, our God.
All: Gather us in, O God, as we worship you.

Invitation to Confession
Prayer of Confession
Gracious God,
Forgive our bleak imagination
and our dreams that refuse inspiration.
We imagine that things are as they must be,
so we dream of little more than refining what is.
Forgive our poor memory
and our fragile trust.
We remember no help in ages past,
so we summon no hope for years to come.
Forgive our cynical hearts
and our tired fear.
We have grown accustomed to the brokenness around us,
so we are suspicious of joy when it appears.
Come to us, O God,
and revive our spirit with your good news. (Silent Prayer)

Sanctuary Choir; Scott Brady, soloist (b. 2016)
Refrain: Amazing grace, how sweet the sound—saved a soul like me.
I found myself in trouble
I could not sing, oh, I was wallowing
when I found myself in trouble. Refrain
I got no one left to blame.
Oh, how could I sing, when I was wallowing?
As I hung my head in shame. Refrain
Grace on grace we have all received
when the Son sets you free
you are free indeed.
I don’t want to be afraid no more!
I don’t want to be ashamed no more!
I don’t want to hang my head no more!
Oh, I am free indeed!
Rise and walk,
hang your head no more
when the Son sets you free
you are free indeed. Refrain
Oh, I am covered by his grace.
Oh, I am covered, Lord! Refrain
