Dr. Lewis F. Galloway

Dr. Lewis Galloway joined the staff at Second Presbyterian Church in April 2004. Galloway was previously the Senior Pastor of Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where he served for 14 years. Lewis has a strong commitment to mission and has developed many hands-on opportunities for community mission. He is currently a Trustee of Davidson College and is a former Trustee of Union Presbyterian Seminary. He has served as President of the Interfaith Hunger Initiative of Indianapolis and as a member of the board of the Central Indiana Red Cross. He is the Director of the Lake Fellow Residency Program in Parish Ministry.

A graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, Galloway earned his Th.M. and D.Min. degrees from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA. Fluent in French, he has studied in France twice, attending the Universitie Paul Valery in Montpelier and the Faculte de Theologie Protestante (School of Protestant Theology) in Paris.

Dr. Galloway is married to the Rev. Dr. Eleanor H. Alexander (Bunny), and they have three grown children.
