Christmas for our Northside Neighbors is one of Second’s largest mission projects each year. Led by our CNN Deacon Committee, this special mission provides Christmas assistance to 110 Washington Township neighbor families in need. Families receive a new outfit and toy for each child in the family, a household item, children’s bible and food for a holiday dinner. In addition, families with children not sleeping in a bed may receive a twin-size bed and bedding.
How can you help?
From Sunday, November 9 through Sunday, November 29, congregants are invited to select gift tags and purchase gifts, clothing, household items, and proteins to donate to families.
- There are also many opportunities to volunteer! Help with:
- Sorting and wrapping new gifts
- Sorting and wrapping new clothing
- Packing food bags on Family Food Shopping Night (Tuesday, December 8)
- Assisting on Pick-Up Day (Saturday. December 12)
There is something for everyone, of every age!
Sign-ups and gift tags will be available in McFarland Hall on Sunday mornings and online.
Unwrapped gifts may be dropped off in the marked red bins in the Atrium by Monday, December 1.
Join us as we bring the light of Christmas to our Northside Neighbors!
