Virtuoso Violins: 3 Concertos of J.S. Bach

Philip Palermo and Kevin Lin perform three of J.S. Bach’s brilliant masterworks for violin and orchestra:

• Violin Concerto in A minor, BWV 1041
• Violin Concerto in E major, BWV 1042
• Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, BWV 1043

Likely composed during his years in Cöthen, these concertos may well have premiered at Zimmermann’s Coffeehouse in Leipzig with Bach conducting the Collegium Musicum. A German pastry and coffee reception following the concert in the parlor offers an opportunity to meet the soloists.
