How to Make a Planned Gift

Making a planned gift can be as simple as naming the church as a beneficiary in a life insurance policy. Simple language in your will can direct that an amount, or a percentage, from your estate be given to the church. Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts can provide you with income during your lifetime, with the remainder going to the church upon your death.

There is no minimum amount required to make a bequest to the church. But it is also true that for many people, a bequest to the church will be the largest single gift they will ever make.

Always consult with your financial professionals before making any decisions. For more information about making a planned gift to the church, visit the Planned Giving Navigator or contact Nancy Frick.

The Beecher Society

The Beecher Society is composed of church members who have included a gift to the Endowment Fund of Second Church in their will or estate plan. The Endowment Fund provides funds to maintain and improve the beautiful building and grounds of the church. It also provides support for the ministries and outreach of our congregation, such as the Annual Budget, Centerpoint Counseling, Northside Mission Ministries, Music and Fine Arts Ministry, Footsteps of Faith, Children’s Circle Preschool, and more.
