Voices of the Spirit: Courage and Reflection
May 17, 3 PM | Sanctuary
The Indianapolis Symphonic Choir explores the intersection of singing and spirituality, bringing audiences messages of inspiration, hope, and peace through two works. First, Poet Walt Whitman’s Civil War poetry forms the basis of Jeffrey Van’s evocative composition for chorus and guitar, “A Procession Winding Slowly Around Me.” Then, Mozart’s timeless Requiem. Featuring four inspiring vocal soloists and accompaniment by the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
