Namoda's work, Godfather, is featured in the current exhibit, A Face Not Hidden, accessible online at SecondChurch.org/FineArts. Cassi Namoda, born in Maputo, Mozambique, is a painter and performance artist who explores the intricacies of social dynamics and mixed cultural and racial identity. Capturing scenes of everyday life, from mundane moments to life-changing events, Namoda paints a vibrant and nuanced portrait of post-colonial Mozambique within an increasingly globalized world. Event moderated by Rev. Chris Palmer and Katherine Ellis and presented by the Fine Arts Advisory Team.

A Face Not Hidden: Christian Promise in Black Perspective guides viewers through a stirring liturgy of images and reflections that ask how joy, suffering, and hope have been represented by Jesus Christ in contemporary Black art.
