Presented by Sacred Arts of Second and sponsored by our Fine Arts Advisory Team, we invite you to experience the beauty and ministry of art as we honor Black History Month. Representing voices from across our city, our staff, and our congregation, you’ll find moving reflections on the historic and contemporary intersection of race and religious representation through a liturgy of images. Different from a sermon, a class, or a study – art speaks to us in a unique way and in a language personal to each viewer. This exhibit is created to honor that lens through our own faith journey, knowing Christ meets us at every turn. We invite you into these reflections of joy, suffering, and hope represented by Jesus Christ in contemporary Black art.
