Call for Volunteers: Ascension Health Poverty Simulation
November 19, 9 AM – 1 PM | McFarland Hall
Training and setup begins at 8 AM
Help Make a Difference at the Poverty Simulation for Healthcare Leaders.
Second is honored to host a Poverty Simulation in partnership with Ascension St. Vincent, designed to give healthcare leaders a deeper understanding of the daily challenges faced by individuals and families living in poverty.
We are seeking volunteers to help bring this impactful experience to life. Volunteers will play critical roles during the simulation, portraying various members of a community (such as employers, service providers, law enforcement, etc.) to help participants better grasp the complex realities many face every day. No experience necessary; all volunteers will receive a brief training at 8 AM the day of the event.
Why Volunteer?
- Be a part of a meaningful, eye-opening experience.
- Help shape more compassionate and informed healthcare leaders.
- Contribute to our mission of social justice and community empathy.
