Homelessness is a Housing Problem

October 6, 9 AM; Englewood Christian Church

Please join us in welcoming Gregg Colburn to Indianapolis. Gregg's book Homelessness is a Housing Problem is motivated by a desire to shed light on the root of the homeless crisis by challenging the dominant and misleading narrative that homelessness is driven by substance abuse, mental health, and other individual-level factors. Gregg's research provides important insight into the structural factors that drive homelessness in cities across the country. As the title indicates, Gregg's book illustrates that one of the most important root causes of the homelessness crisis is the local housing market. This conclusion has significant implications for policymakers and for advancing our shared understanding of homeless solutions.

This event is open to everyone who cares deeply about the state of housing in Indianapolis. Thanks to our generous supporters this event is completely free of charge.
