ANNUAL CARE EVENTS
May Memorial Service
This annual worship service, held the Wednesday prior to Memorial Day and hosted by the Deacons, is the focal point of an evening set aside to remember loved ones who have died, especially in (but not limited to) the last year. Immediately following the worship service, guests will gather outside to plant a tree in memory of those we have remembered by name.
Memorial Garden Service
Every year, a service is held in the Memorial Garden the Sunday prior to Memorial Day offering family and friends who have a loved one inurned or memorialized in the Garden the opportunity to gather in prayer, remembrance, and thanksgiving.
All Saints Sunday
Each autumn on All Saints’ Sunday, during morning worship, we remember by name those in our church family who have died in the past year. We offer gratitude to God for these saints in our community and for their faithful service to Christ and the church.
Advent Service of Wholeness and Healing
The Christmas season doesn’t always feel like “the most wonderful time of the year.” The Advent Service of Wholeness and Healing offers a space for naming the hard realities of grief, stress, sadness, and other burdens that don’t go away (and sometimes are made worse) during the holidays. We don’t have to experience this darkness alone. Instead, we gather in worship to find comfort and community as we wait together for Christ’s light to be born in our lives and in the world once again.
