The Virtual Vierne
Wednesdays in November

7 PM -- Facebook.com/SecondChurchMFA

In 2020, organists from across the nation planned and practiced for concerts and marathon performances to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of French organist and composer, Louis Vierne. Organist at the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris for over 35 years, Vierne overcame obstacles throughout his life and gifted the world with unforgettable music.

As a response to the obstacles created by our global pandemic, Sacred Arts at Second—in partnership with the organists and organs of Christ Church Cathedral, Trinity Episcopal Church, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church—present a series of videos called The Virtual Vierne.

These videos will broadcast at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays in November via Second Church’s Music and Fine Arts Facebook page, and will also be available via the link above. Tune in, when you are able, to hear the music, see the performer, and sense the possibilities that come as we collectively overcome obstacles in our life and in our world.
