MEN'S MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP

4th Tuesdays; 6 – 8 PM
Next Date: April 22
The Roost in Nora, 1435 E 86th St, Indianapolis
Cost: $20 at the door

Men’s Monthly Fellowship is a gathering for men that nurtures relationships and shares the transformative power of Christ in the lives of individuals. Join us the 4th Tuesday of each month for dinner, music, fellowship, and a guest speaker who shares his personal faith journey. Our guest speaker for April is Pete Ritz.

About our April speaker:

Pete Ritz likes to describe himself as born Illini, raised and educated as a Hoosier, then seasoned with Georgia peaches. He was born in Evanston, IL, then before his second birthday his family moved to Tipton, IN, where he grew up. It was there his faith journey began at First Presbyterian Church of Tipton, where he was baptized and confirmed. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics at DePauw University then went on to IU for his MBA with an emphasis in accounting. After graduate school Pete lived in Chicago, Atlanta, and finally came back home again to Indiana in 1986.

Professionally Pete is a former CPA. Full disclosure, he hates taxes. Throughout his career he has served in several accounting and finance roles in companies ranging from start up to Fortune 500. Today he is a fractional Chief Financial Officer for small and mid-sized companies.

Pete lost his beloved wife, Verlyn Wilson, last September after her three-year battle with brain cancer. Although he has no children of his own, he has many in his life. He has three stepchildren (they are all in their 50s now) and six step-grandchildren. Additionally, he and his first wife, Lee, were guardians to Pete’s nephew Greg. Greg and his wife Becki have three adult children who regard Pete as a grandparent, too.

Pete drifted away from church during his younger adult years. God finally caught up with him, and in 1992, Pete joined Second. Since then, he has served as a Deacon and Elder. After attending the Zionsville Great Banquet #17 in 1996 that ministry became a passion of Pete’s. His servant heart led him to serve on 24 Great Banquet teams in five different Banquet communities. Pete’s other passion is music. He plays bass with the Second Chamber players and keyboards with the Second Chance Band.
