THE CREATION BY FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDEN

March 23, 4 PM, Sanctuary

Few works of sacred music are more joyous than Haydn's setting of the epic story of creation. His brilliant depiction of light and whimsical imitations of rushing wind, roaring lions, and bleating sheep will leave you breathless with wonder and delight.

This free concert will feature Second's Sanctuary Choir, University of Indianapolis's Concert Choir, and Festival Orchestra, led by Dr. Michelle Louer.

Inspired by the Creation Story and Haydn's The Creation oratorio, members of our Second Community contributed artwork in a special exhibit called I Am A New Creation, on display March 2 – April 25 in McFarland Hall. Presented by the Fine Arts Advisory Team. Full details here.

The Music and Fine Arts Ministry is also hosting contemplative prayer stations, curated by Lynn VanVeelen, in Room 356 the week of March 17 – 23. Stop by during building hours to talk with God in this interactive holy space. Learn more here.
