Hope Springs Eternal Book Ministry

In Hope Springs Eternal, Karen Cunningham pairs her original photography with thoughtfully chosen Scripture in a book created to comfort, encourage, and inspire. Within its pages are glimpses of God's amazing artistry and a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and find the hope and peace your heart needs most.

The Fine Arts Advisory Team, coordinating with Rev. Madison VanVeelen, are supporting the gift of copies of Hope Springs Eternal to be shared by Second’s pastors when visiting the sick and bereaved. A percentage of the books will be made available to the community for a $20 donation per book.

Once your donation is received, the Music and Fine Arts office will reach out to let you know when your book may be picked up. Books are available starting November 2 at the Sacred Arts Series concert, O Light Everlasting: Music of Hope and Consolation.

Karen Cunningham is a photographer and the creator of Hope Springs Eternal. Her book celebrates God’s brilliant artistry and the awe, gratitude, and peace she experiences while photographing it. Thoughtfully pairing her images with timeless words of Scripture, Karen invites readers to pause, reflect, and find renewed strength and peace in God’s presence all around them.

A member of Second, Karen enjoys serving as a deacon and singing in the Sanctuary Choir. She also serves on the Fine Arts Advisory Team and the Women at Second Coordinating Team.
