Bread for the World - Ending Hunger 101 Workshop

January 18, 1 – 3 PM | Room 112

Join us for Bread for the World - Ending Hunger 101: Change the Systems on Sunday, January 18 for a dynamic, big-picture conversation on the growing hunger crisis in the U.S. and around the world—and what it truly takes to address it. This class explores how systemic change, not just short-term relief, creates lasting impact.

Participants will examine how Indianapolis made real progress toward ending hunger—even during the pandemic—through coordinated, systems-level action. The session also highlights one Indiana family’s journey out of hunger, the critical relationship between food insecurity and good nutrition, and the signs of hope already emerging through advocacy and policy change. You’ll learn how Hoosier advocates are driving measurable results and discover practical ways you can help change the systems that perpetuate hunger. The class includes ample time for questions, discussion, and shared reflection.

Facilitators

  • Dave Miner, Past Board Chair, Bread for the World & Indy Hunger Network

  • Bailey Schwartz, Bread State Organizer for Indiana

This experience is designed to move participants from awareness to action—and to equip you with insight, clarity, and confidence to be part of meaningful change.
