Katherine Ellis
Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor

As Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Katherine supports the office of Rev. Chris Henry through providing hospitable communication and judicious organization. She believes that the transformative work of congregational ministry requires faithful attentiveness and gracious hospitality.

Prior to joining the staff at Second, Katherine provided administrative support to other congregations, worked in ministry, and studied theology in New Jersey, Scotland, and Texas.

Katherine is a native of Abilene, Texas. She is graduate of Baylor University (B.A. in Religion) and Princeton Theological Seminary. Katherine is married to Rev. Christopher Palmer, who serves as Lake Fellow in Parish Ministry at Second. Katherine and Chris are grateful to call Indianapolis and Second home during this season. They can often be found discussing theology, grabbing a pint at Twenty Tap, or walking their slightly unruly puppy, Jed.

Katherine loves throwing pottery, meandering through art museums, and running on the Monon Trail with her husband, Chris.
