Grown-Up Summer Camp
at Camp Pyoca
The can’t-miss event of the year! A unique gathering for individuals 21 and over to explore and grow their faith, rest in creation, and reclaim lives of purpose and play. This summer’s theme, Count the Fruit, will have you noticing the delight in your life, multiplying it through intentional pruning, and sharing it as a response to God’s love, mercy, and justice.
Rev. Dr. Winterbourne Harrison-Jones, pastor of Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, will be preaching, and Shannan Martin, author of Start with Hello, The Ministry of Ordinary Places, and Falling Free, will be the keynote speaker.
This is the second summer that Second Presbyterian Church has partnered with Pyoca Camp & Retreat Center in Brownstown, IN to host Grown-up Summer Camp. It's camp for adults with the traditional highlights: waterfront, high ropes, arts & crafts, worship, family groups, and keynote. We also have opportunities tailored for adults who just need to unplug: late nights with new friends, an evening at the Jackson County Fair, and morning yoga or coffee on the porch.
If you're longing for a long weekend away, deeper community, and a refreshed faith then you'll want to plan your summer around Grown-up Summer Camp!
If camp is calling your name but finances are an obstacle, reach out to Rev. Gracie Payne as scholarships are available.
