A Season of Peace and Thanksgiving: An Artistic Expression in Telling Stories features art by Dwayne Moore, now on display in McFarland Hall through February 28. Dwayne Moore's artwork has returned to his Christian roots, illustrating biblical and historical scenes such as the Via Dolorosa and the Five Loaves of Bread and Two Fish. He continues his journey in religious works by using the techniques of the masters in three stages: line, form, and color.

About the Artist:
Born in Buffalo, New York, Dwayne D. Moore enjoyed drawing from an early age of four. As a youth, he loved attending summer art courses at Buffalo's Albright Knox Art Gallery. His artistic style and technique have been influenced by nineteenth century artist William Bouguereau and twentieth century artist Norman Rockwell.
In 1972, he enrolled at Buffalo's Bryant and Stratton College and majored in Commercial in Advertising Arts. After college, his artwork and graphic design was displayed for promotional and team events by Beckman Instruments in Palo Alto, California and Beckman Life Sciences in Indianapolis, Indiana.
His artwork was exhibited at the ArtPrize 2023 Contest in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
