OUR SONG IS MISSING! A MUSICAL TREASURE HUNT ACROSS LATIN AMERICA FEATURING TONOS DEL SUR
February 1, 10 AM, McFarland Hall
Tonos del Sur is excited to share rhythms, songs, and languages from across Latin America, with music that is almost three hundred years old, all in a hunt to find our missing song! Tonos will introduce our Baroque instruments and highlight a few works in Spanish and Latin from our upcoming concert on February 2. During our hunt for the missing song, you will have a chance to try some of the dances from Peru preserved in the stunning Codex Trujillo and learn a little bit of Chiquitano and Quechua. This program will be less than an hour, and is appropriate for music lovers of any age.
This is a free program and no registration is needed. For more information call 317-726-5402 or contact the MFA office.
