 Registration Deadline is October 20.

About Our Speaker:

Jim is a Professor of Pediatrics, Emeritus at IU School of Medicine, and past Director of Neonatology at the medical center for 22 years. He is currently active as a neonatologist, attending the NICU at Eskenazi Hospital.

Jim and his wife, Pam (one of the first Neonatal Nurse Practitioners in the country) have three children – Ken, Kevin and Meghan - and two grandchildren, Nick (14) and Ben (10). They have been active members at Second for many years, where Jim is an elder and served for many years on the Mission Committee.

Jim and Pam have been to Kenya over 35 times over the past 30 years, and have been gifted with many friendships and opportunities which have enriched their lives. Part of that journey included raising funds to build the Riley Mother and Baby Hospital of Kenya, which opened in 2009 and now delivers almost 20,000 babies a year with 130 babies on average each day in the NICU – all done by Kenyan doctors and nurses and other staff.

Recently, Jim and Pam were able to take their daughter Meghan, her husband, David, and their two grandsons to Kenya for two weeks – where they met many of the Kenyan friends of Jim and Pam who are doing all of this amazing work in Africa and learned about many of their friends back home at Second who have supported this work continuously for so many years. Pam and Jim are forever grateful.
