SUNDAY WORSHIP Going Deep: Prevenient Gratitude We continue our journey with Jonah as we consider what comes before Jonah's expression of gratitude.
THANK YOU, DALE! This Sunday we send Dale Caldwell on with hearts full of gratitude. We have been blessed, once again, to enjoy his thoughtful and beautiful organ playing this summer. Among many things, we are especially grateful for Dale's inspired selection of organ repertoire and for his theological interpretation of hymn accompaniments. Be sure to tune in at 11 when Dale is joined by Daniel Golando on trumpet. (And in case you missed it or want to listen again, watch last week's powerful scripture lessons accentuated with "Eternal Father, Strong to Save"!)
Do you have kids in middle school or high school? This invite is for YOU! Join our Youth Ministry Team on Sunday for a Virtual Open House – a one hour overview of Fall 2020 programming (we'll cover brand new sixth graders, confirmation, Footsteps, and more!) with Rev. Brian Shivers, Tom Markey, and Tyler Wolfcale. Look for an email from the Youth Ministry Team with Zoom details and a postcard on its way! Email Brian, Tom, or Tyler with any questions.  ONWARD AND UPWARD! This Sunday our new sixth graders step up from Children & Family Ministry into Youth Ministries at Second! Approximately 30 children of Second will make this transition together and climb to new heights in their faith journey. From baptism to graduation, we are grateful for the spiritual formation of these beloved children of God and the countless members of Second who walk with them!
Kids are Zooming with Kat and Ann on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Join the fun as we "Journey with Jonah" to Ninevah, by way of a big fish! Email CFM@SecondChurch.org for Zoom details and to receive worksheets, art pages, and more as we learn lessons about change, forgiveness, and God's big love!
