April 6, 2020 - Holy Week

Dear Friends,

I last emailed you on Friday – knowing that Palm Sunday would soon greet us and, knowing that the guidelines from our state and local leaders would continue to impact our way of worship. Both have since happened and I wanted to follow through with these important updates.

As anticipated, we will continue to find fellowship through our online worship only through Sunday, April 26, and our building will remain closed with all activities canceled through May 1.

But we know the news doesn’t end there. We know this week holds yet another story. We know that the story of our faith and the power of this Holy Week will carry us forward, together.

Yesterday, we marked the beginning of Holy Week with Palm Sunday. We sang (did you see the shining faces of those singers?!), we shouted Hosanna, and we worshiped. We did all of this from our own homes, united as people of faith. And that’s how we’ll continue our journey to Easter. Everything you need to know is at SecondChurch.org/HolyWeek.

Remember, we are holding faith, together. The sacred beauty of this week is bound by neither time nor space. We can still unite as people of faith and we can still claim the promise of Easter that awaits us on Sunday morning.

With peace and grace,
Chris
