HYMN #435 We All Are One in Mission was inspired by a letter from Lutheran Bishop Paul Erickson in which he said, “Our mission is to touch the lives of others, with Christ’s Love.” Written by Rusty Edwards in 1986, currently pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Marietta, Georgia, the text makes reference to I Corinthians 12:17-27: “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.”
